Thickening and gelling agent
The AQUAPOL line of “Acrylates polymers” is a synthetic high molecular weight cross-linked water-soluble polymer of acrylic acid. The cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and home industries all use it extensively. It comes as a liquid or powder and is soluble in water, alcohol, and glycols. The pH of an AQUAPOL grade solution ranges from 2.5 to 3.0 before neutralization.
Based on the emulsion thickening property AQUAPOL is categorized into two types:
AQUAPOL® SF-1
AQUAPOL® SF-1 is a lightly cross-linked acrylic polymer with 30% dispersion. AQUAPOL® SF-1 polymer is an acrylic emulsion having the ability to suspend, stabilize, thicken and enhance the appearance of high surfactant-based cleansing products. It is mainly used for clear formulation containing high levels of Surfactants. AQUAPOL® SF-1 also enhances the pearlescent appearance of the surfactant-based formulation.
Description
AQUAPOL® SF-22
AQUAPOL®SF-22 is an anionic hydrophobically modified alkali-soluble acrylic polymer emulsion (HASE) thickener. AQUAPOL® SF-22 is an efficient thickener for difficult to thicken surfactant systems. It is a cold processable low viscosity liquid which provides ease of handling and reduces the total manufacturing time. It contains 30% active polymer which thickens instantly upon neutralization.
Description
AQUAPOL® 940
AQUAPOL® 940 is a synthetic cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. AQUAPOL® 940 is a high-efficient rheology modifier, which provides high viscosity with a sparkling clear gel. AQUAPOL® 940 gives efficient thickening with extremely short-flow properties.
